DESCRIPTION
This training was designed in collaboration with Empowering Growth. Specialists in building capability, knowledge and skills around domestic violence, family violence and child protection issues.
This course is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to confidently and compassionately address complex issues like family violence, domestic violence, and child protection. In this course you will learn how to recognise the signs, respond effectively, and do so in a way that is both safe for you and legally compliant. Your work is critical to a person's ability to live free from violence, and this training is here to support you in that mission.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Recognise signs indicating safety and wellbeing concerns as a result of different forms of violence and neglect.
- Understand how recognising and responding plays a vital role in housing.
- Identify appropriate communication and referral strategies.
- Understand the importance and legalities of reporting and documentation requirements.
