DESCRIPTION
This eLearning course was developed in partnership with subject matter experts from Two Two One Mental Health Charity. Drawing on qualifications in social work and years of frontline experience in crisis response, the content is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed practice to support real-world application.
Trauma-informed care is about understanding how trauma can affect people’s lives, behaviours, and relationships. This course introduces the core principles of trauma-informed practice and shows how to apply them in housing and community contexts.
COURSE OBJECTIVES

- Explain what trauma is, its causes, and how it can affect people differently
- Apply the key principles of trauma-informed practice
- Use trauma-sensitive communication strategies in everyday interactions
- Set healthy professional boundaries and practise self-care
