DESCRIPTION
This eLearning course was developed in partnership with subject matter experts from Two Two One Mental Health Charity. Drawing on qualifications in social work and years of frontline experience in crisis response, the content is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed practice to support real-world application.
Mental health challenges are common and often invisible. Your role puts you in a unique position to notice when someone may be struggling. Whether you're helping someone manage a tenancy, a colleague or a tenant navigate a crisis, or simply checking in on their wellbeing, this course will help you approach those moments with greater confidence, clarity, and compassion.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Recognise signs of common mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and hoarding disorder.
- You'll explore how mental health fluctuates over time.
- How to respond sensitively to distress; and
- How to make effective referrals to professional support.
